Home › Retreats › Alpine Yoga & Hiking Retreat in Les Gets, French Alps
French Alps · 6 days · From EUR 1675
Each day starts on the mat. Morning sessions on the chalet terrace or indoors run through yoga, Pilates, breathwork and meditation, depending on the day — led by instructors who adapt the class to the group. Some mornings start with sunrise yoga, others with ice baths and sauna before breakfast. Breakfast is back at the chalet: home-cooked, served family-style.
Afternoons are for hiking. Four guided walks are included, covering wildflower trails, a hike to a mountain lake for a wild swim, and the summit day up to Le Pas de l'Aigle, where you get the panoramic view across the range. One day the group crosses into Italy for a spa trip, soaking in thermal waters. Another day is deliberately left open after the morning session: lunch in Les Gets, massages in the afternoon, and downtime.
Evenings are slow. Four dinners are included, one of them a BBQ back at the chalet after the summit hike, plus a movie night. There are also a couple of meals out in town — one dinner and one lunch — which aren't covered in the price. The chalet is licensed, so wine, beer and soft drinks can be bought there rather than needing to bring your own.
The team runs a similar trip in the same location each summer. What sets it apart is the size — 12 people maximum — and the fact that the schedule flexes. If the weather turns or the group wants to linger at a swimming spot, that's accommodated. The yoga is taught in a way that works for complete beginners and long-time practitioners in the same room.
Les Gets itself is a proper alpine village, not a resort strip. From the chalet you can walk out the door onto trails, and there's access to alpine rivers and lakes nearby. The altitude keeps evenings cool — daytime temperatures in July typically sit around 20–25°C, so bring layers for the evening and a waterproof. Airport transfers are arranged as a group from Geneva, and recommended flight times are shared before travel.
