Amalfi Coast Mountain Fitness Week: Hard Morning Treks, Yoga and Spa in Positano

Amalfi Coast · 7 days · From EUR 8500

Dolce Vitality runs Sunday to Saturday, six nights, once a year. The 2027 edition is 14–20 March. You arrive on Sunday by transfer from Naples airport or train station, check into a sea-view room, and do a bioelectrical body composition assessment (BIA) before a welcome lunch at 1:00. In the afternoon there's a mountain safety and uphill technique session to introduce you to Amalfi Coast trekking, then a guided walk around Positano's stairways. At dinner the team goes through the week ahead.

Monday to Friday follow the same pattern. Wake-up call at 5:30, sunrise yoga from 6:00 to 7:00, breakfast, then a guided hike from 8:00 to 12:30. The hikes are fast and strenuous and involve long climbs. Routes range from well-known ones like the Path of the Gods to paths few tourists use, passing chapels and shrines and climbing to perched villages. You may stop to forage wild asparagus. The trails are maintained by volunteers, including the guides who lead you. The equipment guide gives a sense of the scale: they plan for around 10 miles of mountain hiking a day with a light pack and a 3-litre hydration bladder.

Back at the hotel, you have half an hour to change, then a 15-minute guided stretch on the terrace and lunch. The afternoon from 2:00 to 7:00 is mostly free. Each guest has a slot for their daily 45-minute massage. Pilates at 4:00 works the areas the hikes miss, plus a few they don't. Restorative yoga at 6:00 includes breathwork and stretches for tired legs. Dinner is at 7:00, followed by a walk on the beach to help digestion.

What makes this different from other hiking weeks is the setting. Le Sirenuse is one of Positano's best-known hotels, and for this week the group has it to itself: the gym, pool, sauna, Turkish bath, plunge pool and ice room. The guides are locals who help maintain the trails. Antonio Sersale and his family take part. Daily laundry is included Monday to Friday, which matters when you're sweating through hiking kit every morning.

Yoga is taught by Jennifer Warakomski, an experienced teacher and Reiki master, who leads both the sunrise and evening classes. The food comes from executive chef Gennaro Russo, working with health coach Valentina Dolci. It's mostly organic and plant-based, with some local fish and seafood, and no gluten, dairy or refined sugar. A nutritionist is on site for a one-on-one session with each guest.

On Saturday there's a final sunrise yoga at 6:30, then breakfast, a second body composition measurement and free time until your transfer back to Naples.
