Home › Retreats › Arctic Fitness Bootcamp: Private Lodge & Wilderness Training in Swedish Lapland
Swedish Lapland · 7 days
The lodge sits in Kardis village, right beside the Torne river and surrounded by untouched forest. There's nothing commercial within reach, which is the point — no restaurants to wander off to, no bars, no shops. The whole property is private hire: with any package the entire lodge is exclusive to your group, or you can take half the building to fit your budget while keeping that exclusivity.
Training happens in two places. Indoors there's a gym you can use whenever you want. Outdoors there's a dedicated training area, plus trails, frozen lakes in winter and open forest as natural training grounds. After sessions you have the sauna, hot and cold plunge tubs and an outdoor jacuzzi. The recovery setup is taken as seriously as the training.
Meals are handled by a private restaurant on site. An in-house chef is available at an extra charge and will prepare food according to your group's dietary requirements. Rest days can be filled with Lapland activities arranged through the lodge: trekking in nature, snowmobile trips, reindeer visits, canoe fishing, lunch out in the wild, campfires, and evenings in the jacuzzi watching the sky.
This isn't a traditional getaway or a wellness resort with a class schedule. It's a private base built for people who want to train without distraction — athletes wanting privacy with their team, fitness groups, or friends who'd rather have the run of a lodge in the Arctic than share a hotel with strangers. The size (10 rooms, up to 20 people) keeps it manageable for a single group to take over completely.
