Home › Retreats › Argentina Boxing & Carnivore Training Camp: Train Hard, Eat Meat
Argentina · 7 days · From EUR 799
Argentina has produced more world boxing champions than any other South American country — Carlos Monzón, Nicolino Locche, Marcos Maidana — and this camp puts you in the same gyms where that tradition was built. You'll train under coaches who have worked with professionals and who know how to teach technique, footwork, and ring craft. The morning session is technical: combinations, pad work, defensive movement. The afternoon session is harder: controlled sparring, heavy bag rounds, and conditioning. Two sessions a day, six days a week, with Sundays off for recovery or exploring the city.
The food is a major part of the experience. Argentina is famous for its beef, and this camp leans into that completely. Every day includes a full asado — a barbecue of premium grass-fed cuts like bife de chorizo, entraña, and vacío, cooked over wood fire by local parrilleros (grill masters). For anyone on a carnivore or high-protein diet, this is about as good as it gets. The beef is 100% grass-fed, raised on open pampas with no feedlots and no hormones. Breakfast is also protein-heavy: eggs, steak, and medialunas (Argentine croissants). If you're training hard, you'll be eating well.
Accommodation is in private apartments in Palermo or San Telmo, two of Buenos Aires' most vibrant neighborhoods. Palermo is green, walkable, and full of restaurants and bars; San Telmo is older, more bohemian, and famous for its Sunday antiques market and tango scene. Both are central and safe, and you'll be within walking distance of gyms, cafes, and nightlife. The apartments are clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a week or a month.
What sets this camp apart is the combination of serious training and genuine Argentine culture. You're not in a resort bubble. You're in Buenos Aires, training in real gyms, eating at real asados, and experiencing the city's energy. The camp includes cultural activities like tango lessons, neighborhood tours, and football matches, but you can also just explore on your own. The pace is intense but flexible — you can push yourself as hard as you want, or take it easier on rest days. The coaches adapt to your level, whether you've never thrown a punch or you're preparing for a fight.
The camp runs year-round with start dates most Mondays. You can choose one week, two weeks, or four weeks. The one-week camp gives you a taste; the two-week camp is the most popular and includes full board and sparring with locals; the four-week camp is for serious athletes who want a full training camp experience with video analysis and a personal strength and conditioning program. All camps include airport pickup from Ezeiza International, so you don't have to worry about logistics when you land.
