Home › Retreats › Atlantic Surf & Yoga Camp for Adults 24+ in Moliets, France
France · 7 days · From EUR 449
Moliets Plage is a beach break with shifting sandbars, which makes it forgiving for learning. You start in the white water on the take-off and the basics, then move into green waves as the week goes on, and when the sandbars set up properly they throw small barrels. Lessons are run by trained surf instructors, and the camp provides the boards and wetsuits. The 13-hour course includes theory sessions as well as time in the water, plus the video analysis.
Yoga runs five times across the week. Cross-training happens twice. Both complement the surfing rather than replacing it, and the outdoor gym is open the rest of the time if you want to keep working on mobility or endurance between sessions.
Accommodation is in mobile homes that were recently renovated and furnished in a modern style. The whole camp sits directly behind the dune. The common area is where guests eat, compare notes on the day's waves, and recover before the next session. Meals are two a day from the camp kitchen, with local and generous ingredients; you make your packed lunch at breakfast.
The wider area is worth a day off. Hossegor, about 20 minutes north, hosts the Quik Pro France and has the waves — La Graviere, La Nord — that most European pros live nearby to surf. Seignosse and its Plage des Bourdaines are close too. Biarritz, where European surfing started at Côte des Basques, is under an hour away, as is San Sebastián across the Spanish border. Closer to camp there's the Dune du Pilat, the largest shifting sand dune in Europe, and the Rue de Lac region inland for lakes, rivers, SUP tours and mountain biking.
