9-Day Authentic Albania eBike Tour: Korçë, Përmet and Gjirokastër (Guided, Full Board)

Beyond Albania's premium tour: nine days on an electric bike through the villages, food and history of south-eastern Albania, with full board, hand-picked accommodation and an easy pace that leaves time for every stop.

After a briefing and dinner in Tirana, you transfer to Grabovicë in the Korçë region and ride through gentle farmland to Korçë for a walking tour and the Museum of Medieval Art. The route then climbs through Ersekë, Albania's highest town, to the cobbled village of Rehovë, where local hosts welcome you with a traditional lunch and village tour. Over the Barmash Pass you reach Farma Sotira, Albania's first family-run agritourism farm, and the Mezini Resort on the Shelegur reservoir.

From Leskovik, with a visit to the Melesin distillery to learn how raki and gin are made, a long downhill takes you to the Vjosa, Europe's last wild river, and the Benjë thermal baths before Përmet. You ride through the Këlcyrë canyons to a Lord Byron family agritourism in Tepelenë, with a river swim and a traditional cooking class. The one rest day is spent in Gjirokastër, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a guided tour of the fortress and the Skënduli House. The last ride visits the Roman ruins of Hadrianopolis, the great plane tree and castle at Libohovë and St. Mary's Church at Labovë e Kryqit.

In total: about 260 km and 2,800 m of climbing over six riding days, rated 3 out of 10 (easy to moderate), in small groups of up to 8. You ride a hybrid e-bike with panniers, with an English-speaking guide and a support vehicle with driver and mechanic.
