Authentic Kundalini & Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in the UNESCO Wachau Valley

Matsya Yoga school offers this 200-hour training at their retreat center in Rossatz, in the heart of the Austrian Wachau Valley. The location is idyllic, right on the banks of the Danube with sand beaches, rolling vineyards, and hiking trails to medieval ruins. It's a far cry from city life, offering a quiet, nature-focused setting for deep study.

The training itself is thorough and structured, divided into four modules over the 26 days. The first module focuses on the history and philosophy of yoga, introducing texts like the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita. The second explores yogic anatomy, chakras, and the koshas. The third covers the practical aspects of teaching, including class structure, didactics, and learning important asanas and kriyas. The final module moves into advanced practices like bandhas, mudras, and pranayama, along with meditation.

A key aspect of this training is its emphasis on the original, powerful form of Hatha Yoga that is akin to today's Kundalini Yoga. You won't find a hot new fusion style here; instead, you'll be trained in a traditional, spiritually rooted practice that honors its Tantric origins. Throughout the course, you'll have a small group of fellow students and a lead teacher who provides personalized guidance.
