Rishikesh · 7 days · From USD 381
The retreat runs on a consistent daily structure, which is exactly what makes a detox work. Mornings begin with pranayama and a yoga class, then breakfast, and then the first of three detox juices. Each day's treatment is tailored to your dosha, and the therapists adjust what they do based on how you're responding—one day it's an Abhyanga warm oil massage, another it's a cleansing therapy. The afternoon rest period is real; this is not a schedule packed with activities from breakfast to dinner.
The teaching team is unusually deep for a retreat of this size. Pranjal Ji anchors the yoga with over a decade of experience and a 500-hour E-RYT certification, and he made his name as a lead trainer at Yoga Vimoksha in Goa. Around him, Vijay brings a 500-hour YTTC and a mindfulness focus, Shubham covers the classical Hatha and Yogic philosophy side with a post-graduation in Yogic Science, and Shree Acharya Eknath Ji handles the Vedanta and chanting, having studied under Swami Krishnananda Ji at Ganga Darshan Ashram. Between the four of them, you get more depth than most retreats offer from a single teacher.
What makes this different from a generic wellness week is the juice therapy at the center of it. Each day brings three distinct juices: a green juice aimed at the liver and digestion, a red juice for circulation and inflammation, and a fruit juice for hydration and natural sugars. The meals lean on five varieties of millet, which are high in fiber and minerals and keep energy steady without the heavy feeling you get from wheat or rice. Combined with the daily Ayurvedic care, this is a genuinely cleansing week rather than a yoga holiday with a healthy menu attached.
The location does a lot of the work. Rishikesh is the Yoga Capital of the World for a reason, and the retreat's position by the Ganges, with the Himalayas rising behind it, makes the town itself part of the experience. The day trip to Kunjapuri Temple for sunrise, the evening ceremony at Ram Jhula, and a walking trail into the hills are all woven in as enrichment rather than side-trips, so the week feels rooted in Rishikesh rather than merely held there.
