Kerala · 14 days · From EUR 3878
The Weight Management & Metabolism Therapy programme is built around a seven-step clinical process. It starts with a comprehensive executive health assessment and advanced diagnostics, then a constitution and imbalance analysis that maps your body-mind state. From there, an individualised treatment plan is drawn up — no generic protocols — covering your therapies, nutrition and internal medicines. You receive a minimum of two personalised therapies per day, adapted as your body responds, plus physician-prescribed in-house GMP-certified herbal medicines (charged separately). Nutrition and lifestyle coaching is built in, with daily plan reviews and private doctor support so you can keep the results going once you're back at work.
Accommodation is in one of 30 villas spread across the 65-acre Healing Village, built on Vastu Shastra principles. There are four room categories: Deluxe Villa, Classic Villa, Royal Villa and Maharaja Suite, with the higher tiers offering more space and a more premium fit-out. The property has a pool, gym, library and outdoor grounds, plus an organic farm that supplies the kitchen.
Kairali's claimed outcomes are specific: 87% of guests report improvements within 14 days and 94% sustain results after six months, based on their own reporting. One testimonial from Rupak Mann describes losing 70kg and coming off depression through the programme; another from Sumit Arora reports losing 4kg in seven days. These are guest accounts rather than independent trials, but the clinical framing — NABH accreditation, 5th-generation physicians, pulse diagnosis, Panchakarma — is more medical than most weight-loss retreats.
What sets this apart from a standard detox or yoga retreat is the medical infrastructure. It's an accredited hospital as well as a resort, so lab tests, internal medicines, Panchakarma and specialist therapies can be added when the doctor recommends them. The daily workshop schedule is also more structured than most: every day of the week has a different session on Ayurvedic theory or practice, from the three doshas to seasonal routines to soil health on the farm.
The location is Palakkad in Kerala, south India — a green, humid region at the foot of the Western Ghats. The village is a self-contained campus: villa, restaurant, treatment rooms, farm, pool and yoga spaces are all within walking distance. Airport transfers are included, and the staff are multilingual.
Room rates run from €277 per night for a single Deluxe Villa to €610 per night single occupancy in the Maharaja Suite. The minimum booking is 14 nights, so a typical stay costs from around €3,878 for the Deluxe single, or roughly €7,196 for two sharing a Deluxe Villa for two weeks. Rates include accommodation, three sattvic meals a day, two therapies daily, group yoga, meditation and cultural activities. Internal medicines, lab tests and specialty therapies are extra, as are extra beds (€38 per night) and extra meals (€69 per day for breakfast, lunch and dinner).
