Ayurvedic Wellness and Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh

Rishikesh · 3 days · From USD 215

The retreat at Yan Cure is built around the idea of giving your body a break and letting it do what it's designed to do—heal. The schedule is structured but not rigid, with mornings given over to cleansing practices and yoga, and afternoons to therapies. You'll start the day with Shat Kriya and cleansing exercises like Jal Neti (nasal cleansing), followed by a session of yoga postures and relaxation. After breakfast, there's time to rest before your first therapy session—this could be anything from a massage to a Panchakarma treatment, depending on what you've discussed with the team. The afternoons bring another round of yoga or therapy, and the evenings wind down with meditation, a walk, and an early dinner.

What sets Yan Cure apart is the quality of the people running it. Dr. Praveen Rana, the founder, is an Ayurvedic doctor with a Ph.D. and years of experience under his belt, and he's hands-on with the treatments. His Kayakalpa kriya therapy is something he developed himself and it's used for rejuvenation. The yoga teachers are just as impressive—Vineet has a Master's in Yoga and Meditation and has trained at traditional gurukuls, while Neelam combines Ashtanga yoga with pranic healing, having studied at Gurukul Kangri University. This means you're not just getting a generic retreat experience; you're getting access to people who really know their craft.

The retreat center itself is a world away from the busy streets of Rishikesh. It's set in a peaceful area, surrounded by greenery, with the mountains close by. The rooms are simple and clean, with double beds and hot showers, and there's a pool, sauna, and yoga deck for when you want to relax between sessions. The food is all vegetarian and freshly prepared, with an emphasis on dishes that support your detox—think oat porridge at breakfast, lentil soups and salads at lunch, and traditional Indian meals for dinner. If you're used to a certain level of luxury, this might take some adjusting, but the trade-off is a genuine, grounded experience where the focus is on your wellbeing rather than the thread count of your sheets.
