Ayurvedic Wellness & Detox Retreat by the Ganges in Rishikesh

This retreat is essentially a structured detox using the full toolkit of Indian traditional medicine—not just yoga and clean food, but actual therapeutic treatments, most of which are massages. You'll have time each day for Panchakarma and naturopathy sessions, and you can choose how strict you want the detox to be. The staff will discuss your goals on arrival and can adjust the program, from simply cutting out meat, wheat, sugar, and dairy to a stricter juice-only plan.

What makes this different from other Rishikesh yoga retreats is the medical angle. Dr. Praveen Rana, who founded Yan Cure, is a PhD in Ayurveda with 16 years of practice, and the therapeutic side of the retreat is run under his supervision. He developed a specific therapy called Kayakalpa Kriya, which he says helps rejuvenate the body and mind, and guests can try it during their stay. It's common to see guests here specifically for Panchakarma or other Ayurvedic treatments, not just yoga classes.

The yoga and meditation classes themselves are led by a team of experienced teachers. Vineet Panday has studied yoga at a Gurukul for 11 years and holds a 500-hour YTT. Neelam Singh specializes in Ashtanga and Hatha, with additional training in energy healing and Marm treatment. Abhivash comes from the Mahayoga/Siddhayoga lineage and also teaches pranayama and meditation. So whichever teacher you get, you're in qualified hands.

Rishikesh itself is the yoga capital of India, and you're in a quieter residential area rather than the chaotic main town, which makes it easier to focus. There are also nature walks and guided excursions included if you want to see more of the area, and the retreat offers cooking classes as well.
