Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Certification Training in Ibiza

The training runs from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM most days, with a lunch break and some half days built in to let the material settle. It's broken into three sections: Level 1 covers the prone back body — deep tissue work with hands and feet on every major muscle group, plus assisted yoga stretches for the spine, shoulders, hips, legs, and feet. Level 2 moves to the seated body, working the back, shoulders, and neck while seated, and includes a review of Level 1. Level 3 finishes with the supine front body — legs, hips, stomach, arms, hands, shoulders, neck, head, and face — with mobilizations for the hips, spine, and shoulders.

Each day revolves around practice. After a short theoretical introduction, you're straight into giving and receiving massages, with instructors close by to correct your technique and guide your pressure. Repetition is built into the structure deliberately so that by the end you can perform the full sequence fluidly without relying on notes.

The final day is a clinic session where you give a complete AYM treatment under supervision, assessed by James Winstanley. Pass that, and you get your diploma — the world's first accredited AYM Diploma training, founded by James himself in 2010. The qualification is recognized by the IICT and CThA, which means you can get public liability insurance and start offering AYM professionally.

The setting matters too. Marta Yoga is in Santa Eulalia, one of Ibiza's calmest towns, with a palm-lined promenade and a relaxed Mediterranean pace. You'll be staying at Hotel Tres Torres, a short walk from the beach, marina, and cafes. Evenings are yours — most students find it useful to rest their hands, but there's plenty of good food and sea air nearby to soak up the island vibe.
