Home › Retreats › Barbados Island Wellness Retreat: Yoga, Deep Rest & Nervous System Reset (6–12 Guests)
Barbados · 5 days
The retreat is led by two long-standing Barbados-based practitioners. Manuela Capursi is a certified holistic healing practitioner who qualified as a Reiki II practitioner in 1997, became an IBA-certified BodyTalk practitioner in 2015, and has since trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (San Baio) and the Emotional Resolution (EmRes) technique. She's also a mind-body educator who teaches yoga, meditation and breathwork. Tamwah Williams is an Australian-born holistic practitioner with over 30 years' experience, qualified in myofascial release, remedial massage, craniosacral therapy, Reiki Master level, meditation, crystal healing, Aura-Soma, Lomi Lomi, kinesiology, yin yoga teaching and flower essences. She has run workshops in Australia, Guatemala, Brazil, Canada, the USA and Barbados.
A typical day starts with yoga before breakfast, followed by a guided meditation or breathwork session. Mid-morning is usually a workshop — for example nervous system regulation and stress release on The Recharge programme, hormone support and self-discovery practices on the Women's Mid-Life Reset, or partner yoga and relationship workshops on the Couples Connection retreat. Lunch is included and locally sourced. Afternoons are for beach time, island excursions, or one-to-one sessions such as bodywork, massage or emotional resolution work. Evenings often include sound healing, beach ceremonies or a slower yin practice before dinner.
The 3–7 day length means the programme flexes: shorter bookings concentrate on rest and a couple of core practices, longer ones add more workshops, more excursion time and more hands-on sessions. The Sports Recovery Retreat tilts the schedule towards recovery — sports massage, nutrition coaching, active rest and injury-prevention practices — while the Flow & Restore version keeps the focus on daily yoga, meditation and sound healing.
Barbados itself does a lot of the work. Year-round warm weather, swimmable beaches and a slower pace mean you're not fighting the environment to relax. The retreat includes airport pickup, drop-off and all transport during your stay, so you're not renting a car or figuring out buses.
The all-inclusive structure is unusual for this price bracket: accommodation, all meals, daily activities, excursions, transport and facilitation are covered. The only things you pay separately are international flights and personal spending money.
Who runs it: the retreat is delivered by a Barbados-based wellness practice and its team of certified instructors and healing practitioners. Enquire directly for the specific operator details and availability for your dates.
