Home › Retreats › Breathwork & Ice Bath Facilitator Certification in the Himalayas
India · 18 days · From USD 3180
The training is structured into six modules. Module 1 ('Sanctuary of Self') is about your own process — releasing stored emotions, journaling, movement, and authentic relating exercises in group circles. This isn't a weekend workshop you can intellectualise through; you're doing the work yourself before you learn to hold space for others.
Modules 2 and 3 cover the technical foundation: how breathing affects oxygenation, CO2 levels, and nervous system regulation; the history of breathwork from ancient pranayama to modern applications; and trauma-informed facilitation. You'll learn to recognise when someone is having an emotional release and how to support them without overstepping. There's specific training on therapeutic touch, boundaries, and creating psychologically safe containers.
Modules 4 and 5 shift to practical facilitation. You'll lead practice sessions with other trainees, experiment with adding sound bowls and guided imagery, and learn to manage group dynamics — synchronising energy across a room, addressing different needs, handling difficult moments. Each practice session gets feedback from mentors.
The final module includes a supervised, assessed breathwork session that you facilitate yourself. Pass that, and you receive certification. The trainers also cover the business side: how to continue your education, build a practice, and stay connected with the graduate community.
Dharamshala itself is in the foothills of the Himalayas, about 20 minutes from the local airport. The town is best known as the seat of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The training venue sits near a flowing stream, surrounded by forest. Weather is cool — bring layers.
