Home › Retreats › Coming Home: A Private 4-Day Psilocybin Retreat for Two in the Costa Rican Mountains
Costa Rica · 4 days · From USD 4000
The structure is deliberately loose. Before you arrive, Sebastiaan and Anaïs take time to understand what brings each of you here — a shared question, individual ones, or a mix. Those intentions become the thread running through everything. Rather than slotting you into a rigid programme, they bring the different elements together as one process: coaching and guided self-inquiry to work with the mind, Rebalancing bodywork to notice what's held in the body, and the psilocybin journey itself to open access to deeper layers, followed by real time to make sense of it all.
Each of you receives one supported psilocybin journey, shaped around your personal intention. Rebalancing bodywork runs alongside it — therapeutic, somatic work that helps you feel and release tension and emotion rather than just thinking about it. The approach rests on three movements the facilitators call Witness, Feel and Listen: stepping back to observe your own thoughts and patterns, bringing awareness down into the body, and learning to recognise what feels true underneath the noise.
What separates this from a larger group ceremony is that it's just the two of you with personal guidance throughout. There's no pressure to share everything, talk about your relationship, or resolve every difficulty. You can spend the downtime together or apart. The facilitators work with each of you as an individual while holding the shared experience of your time there, and they describe their approach as trauma-informed and grounded — staying close to each person's experience and respecting boundaries rather than pushing for a particular outcome.
Sebastiaan spent nearly two decades as a business consultant before a personal turning point led him into bodywork, meditation and psychedelic work. He trained for three years in Rebalancing bodywork in the Netherlands, has practised since 2013, and spent six months in Peru in 2018 working with ayahuasca and San Pedro. Anaïs hosts the integration side and prepares the food, bringing a warm, settled presence to the week.
The setting does a lot of the work. The property sits in quiet tropical mountains, a short walk through jungle from a river where the day starts with a cold-water dip — a simple ritual to wake the body and quiet the mind. Birdsong, mountain air and wildlife fill the days, and there are no distractions or obligations. After you leave, each of you gets a written Progress & Integration Report capturing what came up and turning it into practical next steps, plus a follow-up online integration session, with longer-term support available if you want it.
