Equine Therapy & Nervous System Reset Retreat in the Somerset Countryside

This retreat is a carefully curated blend of equine therapy, nervous system regulation, and nature-based integration, designed to help you see yourself more clearly and reset patterns of relating. You'll spend time with a herd of four highly experienced therapy horses and three alpacas, who live as freely and naturally as possible across 7 acres of meadows, tracks, and riverbank. Each session is intentional, safely held, and unrushed, allowing you to explore at your own pace.

The experience is not about learning to ride or acquiring new skills; it's about uncovering deep insight and being fully seen and supported in a way that most human interactions cannot provide. Our highly experienced facilitators, led by Nina Leijerstam, are drawn from trauma-informed, integrative psychotherapy and allied therapeutic disciplines, ensuring a safe, relational space for your exploration.

Between sessions, you'll find moments for quiet contemplation under ancient oaks, in hammocks among the trees, beside the firepit, or inside the cosy shepherd’s hut. Evenings are relaxed and restorative, with luxurious accommodation at a beautiful country inn just a 10-minute drive away. By the end of three days, many guests feel lighter, more grounded, and deeply restored, carrying a renewed sense of possibility long after the retreat ends.
