Exclusive-Use Wellness Retreat Venue in the Hills Near Barcelona

Can Vital sits in the hills outside Barcelona, close to Sitges and within sight of Montserrat. It is a restored masia — a traditional Catalan farmhouse — with several ensuite bedrooms, generous indoor rooms and outdoor terraces, and it is reserved exclusively for one group at a time. Nobody else is on site while you are there.

The property has been set up with wellness groups in mind. There are dedicated spaces for yoga, meditation and workshops, a saltwater infinity pool, a sauna, a large kitchen and a kitchen garden. The house runs on solar panels. Meals tend to happen around long tables, and the outdoor areas look over vineyards, forest and the mountain.

The setting shapes the day. Sunrise beside Montserrat, birdsong in the morning, and a pace that slows without anyone having to organise it. Groups use the estate for corporate offsites, wellness programmes and private celebrations — weddings, family gatherings and milestone birthdays.

Because the whole place is yours, the schedule is whatever you and your group decide. A yoga group might run two classes a day and leave the afternoons for the pool and the sauna; a company might use the indoor spaces for workshops and the terraces for dinner. The venue does not impose a programme.

It is also well placed for days out. Sitges and its beaches are nearby, Montserrat is within reach, and Barcelona is about an hour away. The surrounding region — the Penedès and the hills of Catalonia — has villages, vineyards and walking country to fill a free afternoon.
