Home › Retreats › Fitness Sailing Week: Island-Hop Croatia's Dalmatian Coast by Yacht
Dubrovnik · 8 days · From EUR 1195
Days follow a rhythm. You wake in a bay or on a harbour quay, train before breakfast (TRX on deck, circuits, functional sessions), eat what the hostess has cooked, then sail to a swim stop for lunch and a proper swim in open water. In the afternoon the boat ties up somewhere new, and the instructor runs a second session — on Vis it's an afternoon circuit in the shade overlooking the harbour, followed by a dip. Evenings are free: dinner ashore, or on the two-course onboard meal with local wines and cheeses on the Mljet night.
The route changes with the week you book. The Split-to-Dubrovnik itinerary runs Split → Milna on Brač → Vinogradišće Bay (with an optional water taxi over to Hvar) → Vis → Korčula → Pomena on Mljet → Okuklje on Mljet → Dubrovnik. You're in a different harbour every night, and each one has its own thing: Hvar for the sunset and the 4pm–9pm beach party, Vis for the military tour or a drive to Stiniva Bay, Korčula for the fortified old town and morning pastries from the local pekara, Mljet for the national park and the saltwater lake you can cycle around.
What separates this from a standard Croatian island-hopping charter is the instructor and the schedule that's built around training. This isn't a sailing holiday with one optional yoga class tacked on — the fitness programme runs the week, and the itinerary is planned so there's time for it. It's also not a bootcamp with a boat; the afternoons are genuinely free, and the crew actively encourages you to get off and explore.
The yacht is a Beneteau Oceanis 48 with a qualified skipper, a hostess and the fitness instructor on board. Included in the price: the weekly marina and port fees (roughly €650), fuel (roughly €200), the one-way delivery fee (€750) where it applies, final cleaning (€250), tourism taxes, and unlimited 4G wifi. There are no departure taxes or extra charges added at the end. Snorkelling gear is on board, and you can learn to sail with the skipper if you want to.
Pricing is based on two people sharing a double cabin, so it's cheapest booked as a pair or a group. Departures run on Saturdays, assuming no significant boat damage from the previous week, and check-out on the final morning is 8am. The crew suggests staying an extra night in Dubrovnik at the end rather than flying straight home — there's a lot of the old town and a lot of restaurants, and you'll want more than one evening there.
