Home › Retreats › Fitness & Wellness Boot Camp in Marbella: 4 & 7-Day All-Inclusive Retreats
Andalusia · 8 days · From EUR 1900
Mornings usually start early, with a session before breakfast — often a beach circuit or a gym workout depending on the day. After breakfast there's a second block in the late morning: boxercise, spinning, reformer Pilates or yoga, depending on the schedule. Lunch is back at the hotel, followed by a rest window in the early afternoon. The late afternoon slot might be a hike, a bike ride or a running session, and evenings close with yoga or stretching before dinner. Two to three training blocks a day is typical, roughly 30 active hours across a week.
The programme rotates locations deliberately. Two days are usually spent at the beach — either the stretch between the Marbella Club and Puente Romano hotels, or further along the paseo, which runs 10km from Marbella to Puerto Banús and is good for jogging and cycling. One day heads inland to Istán, about 12km away, for hiking trails and a large man-made lake, or to Benahavís, a white Andalucian village up a winding mountain road popular with local cyclists. Friday is a full day at Mike's Gym in Puerto Banús — a CrossFit/Hyrox-certified site with two boxing rings, an outdoor spinning area, a pool, and a 4.7km assault and obstacle course that guests describe as a highlight.
The schedule is adjusted for the group. Complete beginners and experienced athletes are on the same week, and coaches scale each exercise. Guests at the upper end of the age range have completed the mountain bike ride and Hyrox sessions after being talked through them. Non-cyclists are given an alternative activity on bike days, so nobody sits out.
Accommodation is a 4-star hotel in Marbella, about 600m from the beach and 200m from the promenade. Rooms are ensuite and spacious, and the hotel has a pool and terrace. The previous property changed in October 2025 — the current hotel is the one used for all 2026 departures. Airport transfers from Málaga are included on the standard arrival and departure days.
Food is prepared to a calorie-conscious plan and served at the hotel. Guests repeatedly mention not feeling hungry while still losing weight (one review reports a 3kg loss over the week). The kitchen handles dietary requirements if you tell them at booking. Dr. Vanessa Garcia Ohnimus handles nutrition coaching, which is included as part of the programme rather than sold as an add-on.
What separates this from a standard fitness holiday is the equipment access. Very few week-long retreats get guests into a facility with a purpose-built Hyrox and CrossFit setup, two boxing rings and an obstacle course — and the coaching stays with the group all week rather than handing you a timetable. Jan Dendauw has run the camp since 2011 and still leads sessions personally; the rest of the team (Daniele Fonte, Frida Sjöström, Juanma Gómez, Lori Sjollema, Layla Akassab Lopez and Sara Blanco) covers yoga, Pilates, stretching and massage.
