Scottish Highlands · 7 days
The lodges are spread across Perthshire and the Cairngorms. Deanshaugh in Perthshire sleeps 15 and has a hot tub, gym and sauna. The Post House in the Cairngorms sleeps 13 and takes dogs, with a hot tub and a wood burner. Cray House is the biggest at 20 beds in the Cairngorms, also pet friendly, with a hot tub and open fire. Strathdearn's Findhorn Lodge sleeps 16, takes dogs, has a wood burner and private parking. Lassintullich House in Perthshire sleeps 16 and is all about the views. Fir Tree Lodge sleeps 14 in Perthshire with a hot tub and sauna. Craigard Lodge sleeps 15 in the Cairngorms with a hot tub, games room and cinema room. Lundin Farmhouse sleeps 10 in Perthshire with a hot tub and games room. The Dell of Rothiemurchus sleeps 24 in the Cairngorms — the one to pick for a big group — with a hot tub and games room. Milton Lodge sleeps 14 and Kincraig House sleeps 18, both in the Cairngorms with hot tubs and games rooms.
Every one of these has hosted wellness retreats before, so the practicalities are known: where the yoga mats go, where the group eats, how the kitchen copes with 20 people, where the nearest wild swim or running trail is. A few have dedicated on-site spaces for classes. Where they don't, the Guest Services team will recommend nearby halls, studios or outdoor spots that suit the group's plans.
The locations matter. The Cairngorms lodges sit within reach of the national park — Rothiemurchus forest, Loch Morlich, the Cairngorm plateau — which means walking and running routes straight from the door and cold water swimming a short drive away. The Perthshire houses are further south, closer to Pitlochry, Loch Tay and the Tay valley, with gentler glens for walking and plenty of quiet road for cycling.
This isn't a retreat with a teacher and a timetable. You supply the instructor, the classes and the food plan; the lodge supplies the beds, the big kitchen, the hot tub, the fire and the location. It works best for yoga teachers, pilates instructors, running coaches or detox programme leaders who want to run their own week in a house they don't have to share with other guests.
Prices aren't published per night here — you email Katie and Ruth in Guest Services with your dates, group size and what you want to run, and they come back with tailored options across the lodges that fit.
