Home › Retreats › HYROX and Beach Bootcamp Training Week in Coral Bay, Cyprus
Cyprus · 7 days · From EUR 1000
A typical day starts early, before the heat builds. You'll be out on the outdoor platform for a session that mixes running with functional strength work — sled pushes and pulls, rowing, ski erg, farmer's carries, sandbag lunges, burpee broad jumps. The platform faces the sea, and when you're done you can walk down and swim in the Mediterranean to cool off. Breakfast follows, then the middle of the day is free: beach, rest, or a session in the indoor PT studio if you want extra work.
Late afternoon brings a second class, again outdoors overlooking the beach. Some days that's conditioning, some days it's more technique-focused — practicing the specific HYROX stations, working on your running pace, or doing a scaled version of a full race simulation. The programme is written so that complete beginners and people training for a sub-90-minute HYROX time can be in the same session and both get what they need; everything is scaled by the coaches on the day.
What's different here from a lot of fitness camps is the setting. The training area is a 1,500 sqm platform right on the coast at Coral Bay, not a converted warehouse or a hotel gym. Coral Bay itself is a well-known resort area on the southwest of the island with the best sandy beaches in Cyprus, so on your free afternoons you're not stuck in a hotel — you can swim, walk the coast path, or take a short drive to the sea caves and the Akamas peninsula.
Getting here is easy from Europe. Paphos International Airport is the closest, with Larnaca a larger alternative, and there are direct low-cost flights from the UK, Germany, Ireland and Scandinavia (Ryanair, Wizz Air and others). From the Middle East it's a short hop. That means no long-haul flight and no jet lag eating into your training week.
The camp runs with a small crew of coaches who are on the platform with you rather than watching from the side, and there's a personal trainer available for one-to-ones in the indoor studio. Accommodation is on site, so the whole week is contained: you train, eat, sleep and swim within a couple of minutes' walk. The season runs March to mid-November, and the weather in spring and autumn is close to ideal for outdoor training.
