Barcelona · 5 days
The HYROX Cruise is a full-ship charter operated with TUI Cruises across four nights in the Mediterranean, departing Palma de Mallorca on 21 October 2026 and returning to Palma on 25 October 2026. Ports of call are Palma de Mallorca, Marseille and Barcelona, with the return leg back into Palma. Because the ship is chartered in full, the passenger list is made up entirely of HYROX athletes and their travel companions — there are no other cruise guests on board.
Onboard programming is built around HYROX. That means daily training sessions led by HYROX coaches and elite athletes, dynamic group classes, and panel talks where the top names in the sport talk through preparation, race strategy and conditioning. There is also a HYROX race staged on board in a format that doesn't exist at standard race events — the exact format hasn't been published, but it's described as something you won't have seen before. Nutrition across the trip is planned to support training load rather than as standard cruise buffet fare, and recovery is treated as part of the programme with expert care available on board.
What separates this from a normal fitness retreat or a normal cruise is the combination of a captive, like-minded group and a sport-specific programme. You're not fitting training around other passengers' schedules or a ship's entertainment roster — the ship's schedule is the training schedule. The HYROX Experiences team handles itinerary planning, operations and logistics themselves rather than handing it to a third party, which is why the ports and the programming line up the way they do.
The venture is run by HYROX World GmbH, the same organisation behind the global HYROX race series and the existing HYROX Camps. The camps came first and proved there was demand for HYROX-branded travel; the cruise is the next step, taking the same training-and-community model onto a ship. That means the coaching standard is set by the same organisation that runs the races, not an external retreat company licensing the name.
The Mediterranean route in late October generally means mild days and cooler evenings — good conditions for outdoor training on deck and for walking Marseille and Barcelona when the ship is in port. Beyond training, the trip includes evening parties and a social programme, and the whole thing is pitched at people who want a fitness holiday where the fitness is the point rather than an add-on.
