Home › Retreats › Hyrox & Hybrid Training Camp in Cyprus — 7 Days, Sea View Track and 4-Star Beach Hotel
Cyprus · 7 days
The week is built around the HYROX race format: ski erg, rower, sled push and pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, running and the wall balls. On top of that there's general strength and conditioning, running sessions on the track, and mobility work. Coaches run technical units on each station, then you put it together in workouts. The Instagram posts from the team's weekend camps show the pattern clearly — by day two people who arrived unable to string a sled push together are moving through full hybrid circuits, and that's the point.
Most days start early with training before the heat builds. You'll be on the track or in the outdoor box most mornings, with a second and sometimes third session later in the day. Late afternoon typically shifts to yoga, stretching or mobility, followed by a theory block — race tactics, pacing, transitions, nutrition — led by the coaching team. Days are structured but not rigid, and there's usually a window in the afternoon to swim in the 50m and 25m pool lanes or walk down to the beach.
The coaching team is assembled from HYROX specialists and elite athletes rather than general fitness trainers. Luke has been the constant figure across the camps since 2022, and the roster has grown to include Rodi, Markus, Carina and Andi alongside further HYROX specialists. Guest reviews consistently name the individual attention as the thing that stood out — a beginner from the 2022 camp wrote that the coaches 'know how to encourage and motivate each participant individually.'
Cyprus itself does a lot of the work. You get roughly 340 sunny days a year here, and from February onwards it's already around 20 degrees, so you can train outdoors year-round while most of Europe is still in coats. The hotel sits directly on the beach, and the training centre is close enough that you're not losing half your day to transfers.
The camp runs on a flexible arrival model — you choose your own arrival day rather than being locked into a fixed Saturday-to-Saturday block. That means partners, friends or family who aren't training can join you and spend the week on the beach or exploring the island while you're in sessions. It's an unusual setup for a training camp and makes the whole thing feel less like a boot camp and more like a sports holiday you happen to be training through.
