Home › Retreats › HYROX Hybrid Training Camp with Anna Lewandowska in Poland
Poland · 6 days · From EUR 1540
The training programme is a hybrid strength-and-endurance system built specifically for HYROX. Expect a mix of running, sled push and pull, rowing, skiing, wall balls, kettlebell work and sandbag carries, with an emphasis on technique and movement quality rather than just piling on volume. Coaches run performance tests during the week so you leave with measurable numbers, and there are dedicated sessions on realistic race preparation and pacing. A recurring theme in the programme is conscious load management — the point is to make progress without breaking down, which is why recovery is timetabled in rather than squeezed in.
Equipment on site is the same kit you will meet on race day: RowErg and SkiErg ergometers, push and pull sleds, wall balls, kettlebells and sandbags. The DOJO facility is fitted out with this gear for the duration of the camp. Alongside the physical work there is educational content covering race strategy and mental preparation — how to plan your splits, where to push, and how to hold it together in the back half of a race.
The coaching line-up is what separates this from a generic fitness week. Anna Lewandowska has years of coaching experience with certifications in fitness and personal training, including CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and has completed numerous nutrition courses. She is a multiple medallist at World, European and Polish Championships in traditional karate and creator of the ALL OUT hybrid training programme. Jakub Jandura is Country Manager of HYROX Poland and holds HYROX Level 1 certification. Luis Pajares is a CrossFit Level 2 Coach based at Edan Studio in Barcelona with a background in football, calisthenics and functional training. Małgorzata Reysner has been a personal trainer and fitness instructor since 2006, specialising in CrossFit, functional training and high-intensity work, a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer since 2015 and named Top Trainer by Shape magazine in 2016.
DOJO Stara Wieś is not a standard gym venue. It was built according to the canons of Japanese architecture in the Polish countryside and is described as the largest centre in the world dedicated to specialist training in Far Eastern martial arts and combat sports. It sits at the edge of the Przedbórz Landscape Park, surrounded by fields and forests, well away from any city. It operates as a kind of Japanese village — quiet, with a lot of open space around it.
This is a camp rather than a holiday. The week runs Tuesday afternoon to Sunday after lunch, meaning five nights on site, and the schedule is full: training, meals, recovery sessions and strategy discussions. It suits people who want a hard training block with the logistics handled, and who are happy to spend the week in a small group in a rural setting.
