Koh Samui · 7 days · From EUR 660
A typical day starts early with a run or a conditioning session before the heat builds. Samui is hot and humid year-round, so the training block runs in the morning and late afternoon, with the middle of the day left free. You'll do your HYROX-specific work — sled pushes and pulls, erg intervals, compromised running where you run straight off a station — in the main training area. Between sessions there's time for the pool, a walk to the beach or a massage.
Coaching is hands-on. The trainers hold certifications and compete themselves, and they'll correct your sled position or your rowing stroke rather than just counting reps. Because the programme covers beginners through to people training for a specific race, coaches adjust loads and running paces to each person rather than running one session for everybody. If you're doing the weight loss package, you also get a body scan, a personalised meal plan and a daily protein shake on top of the training.
What separates this from a standard fitness holiday is the equipment and the coaching focus. Plenty of resorts have a gym; very few in Thailand have a full HYROX set-up with sleds and ergs alongside a competition-prep programme. The Muay Thai gym on the same site means you can add pad work and bag rounds to your week, which makes a good change from erg intervals and gives you conditioning work that doesn't feel like a treadmill session.
The accommodation is on site at the resort, so you walk from your room to the gym. Meals are included six days a week — Thai and Western dishes, portioned to your plan if you're on the weight loss programme. The site sits at Bo Put in the north-east of Koh Samui, close to the beach and a short ride from Chaweng, so rest days can be spent swimming or exploring the island rather than sitting in your room.
One thing to be clear about: this is a training camp, not a spa week. The schedule has real volume — unlimited group classes means you can train twice a day if you want to — and you'll be tired by the end of it. The yoga and the pool are there to help you recover between sessions, not to replace them.
