Lake District Yoga & Hiking Retreat with Soundbath and Spa Treatment

The retreat runs from Friday afternoon to Monday morning (30 October – 2 November 2026) at The Heaning Estate in Cumbria. Guests are accommodated across two properties on the estate — the Big House and the Small House — in ten individually designed bedrooms, all en-suite. Both houses have their rooms on the first floor, and there is no lift, so bags need carrying upstairs. The yoga studio is reached via a steep slope on the grounds.

Friday evening opens with a restorative yoga session, intended to slow things down after the journey. Saturday and Sunday each start with yoga, and there are two hikes over the weekend — one guided walk on each full day, taking in the Lake District landscape around the estate. A soundbath session is scheduled during the stay, and each guest gets to choose either a massage or a facial as their included spa treatment.

All meals are cooked by a private local chef working on site. The food is described as wholesome and nourishing, with menus built around the weekend rather than a set restaurant format. Dietary requirements are handled by arrangement with the host in advance.

The Heaning Estate itself covers five acres with panoramic views, and the interior styling is Lakeland-Scandi — clean lines, natural materials, and a level of finish the listing calls luxurious. The location is just off the A591 and close to the M6, and Windermere station is a five-minute drive (or a 30-minute walk) from the property.

Group numbers are kept small by the size of the two houses — a maximum of ten bedrooms. That means the yoga sessions, hikes, and shared meals all happen with the same group of people across the four days. Guests are encouraged to recycle during their stay.
