Puerto Rico · 5 days
Casa Alternavida runs three strands of retreat. Team building retreats are for intact work groups that are already struggling — trust has dropped, communication has broken down, or the culture is working against the business. Rather than trust falls and games, the group works through the actual friction with a facilitator in the room.
The second strand is for executive forums, EO and YPO groups and Vistage chapters. A forum moderator books the retreat for their members with the aim of getting past the usual offsite format: it's customised to the group, and the work is about how members communicate and show up for each other, individually and collectively.
The third is the solo retreat, for one leader at a time. These are booked by people dealing with burnout, grief, a relationship breakdown or plain overwhelm, and the work is high-touch: personal coaching sessions, somatic practices and time in the rainforest. It's a heavier, quieter week than the group retreats.
Sessions take place at the property itself and out in the surrounding rainforest, with forest therapy among the tools used. Meals, accommodation and logistics are handled by the on-site Boricua team, so participants are not coordinating anything themselves.
The property is in Puerto Rico's rainforest, which shapes the week — the setting isn't decoration, it's where much of the work happens. Because groups can book the whole place and retreats are customised, no two weeks run identically; the schedule below reflects the usual shape of a team or executive retreat rather than a fixed timetable.
