The week runs Saturday to Saturday. A free group shuttle collects you from Malaga Airport Terminal 3 at 4pm on arrival day and drives about an hour to the villa. The following morning, training starts. A typical day opens with a sunrise walk, then breakfast, then a mix of weights circuits, HIIT, boxing and team games around the villa grounds or on the beaches nearby. Afternoons might be a beach run, a surf lesson or a paddleboard session, and one or two days head into the hills behind Marbella for a longer hike.
What sets this camp apart from a standard boot camp is the setting. You're not in dorms or a converted hostel — you're in a large private villa with en-suite bedrooms, Egyptian cotton sheets, most rooms with their own balcony, and one with a private rooftop jacuzzi. There's an indoor and an outdoor heated pool, so pool time works year-round, plus a games room with a pool table and Sky TV in the lounge.
The food is the other big difference. Guest chef Jamie Raftery, who has 18 years in professional kitchens and trained under chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal, Thomas Keller and Michael Caines, worked with the team on the menu. Everything is wheat-free and gluten-free with no additives, built around complex carbs, plenty of protein, healthy fats and a lot of seasonal fruit and veg. Jamie also runs a cookery workshop and Q&A so you can take a few recipes home. If you want to go further, there's a 7-day juice programme of fresh juices and vegetable soups instead of the standard meals.
The trainers all have a background in injury rehabilitation, which is why they're comfortable working with a complete beginner and a seasoned athlete in the same group. Sessions are scaled to you: if you're there for fitness rather than weight loss, your portions and calories go up and you'll be pushed toward the top end of what you can do.
Alongside the training there are life coaching sessions on nutrition and habits, educational films in the evenings, and optional massages and beauty treatments (paid in cash on site). Puerto Banús and Marbella town are a short drive away, and the nearest beaches are a 15-minute walk from the villa.
The camp is run by Prestige Boot Camp, a UK company based in Bristol that also runs camps in Devon, Wales, Suffolk, Somerset and Portugal. The Marbella villa is their high-end option and runs throughout the year.
