Medical Wellness Reset at Bavaria's Lakeside Health Resort

This is Germany's flagship medical wellness destination, positioned somewhere between a luxury hotel and an outpatient clinic. The medical team includes Dr. Elke Benedetto-Reisch (Medical Director of the Lanserhof Group), specialists in internal medicine, anaesthesiology, physical and rehabilitative medicine, orthopaedics, and a dedicated Brain Health Centre led by Prof. Dr. Stefan Lorenzl.

The Lanserhof Concept — their signature approach — centres on therapeutic fasting and detoxification, combined with movement therapy, mental health coaching, and high-tech diagnostics. This isn't a juice cleanse with yoga attached; guests undergo proper medical assessments and receive personalised treatment protocols based on their findings.

Programme options span Classic Detox, Longevity Medicine, Weight Regulation, Stress Resilience, Deep Sleep, Pre- and Post-Operative Rehabilitation, Immune Regulation, Brain Health, Gender-specific Health, Sports Performance, and Beauty & Aesthetics. The location itself — mountain air, lake views, quiet Bavarian countryside — is treated as part of the treatment rather than just a backdrop.

The architecture is contemporary and minimal, designed to feel calm rather than clinical. Natural materials, floor-to-ceiling windows, and spaces that encourage stillness. At 21,000 square metres, there's room to spread out and avoid the crowded-spa feeling that can undermine the point of going somewhere to rest.
