French Riviera · 7 days
The programme is organised around four pillars the hotel names explicitly. Exercise covers sports and yoga: personal training sessions, water-based activities, hiking on the scenic paths that trace the St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula through Mediterranean vegetation, cycling on trails through natural landscapes and seaside towns, and running routes for every experience level along the coastline. Relaxation covers spa treatments, a naturopathy class introducing herbal medicine, aromatherapy, micronutrition and apitherapy, and a herb-harvesting session where mixologists show how to prepare herbal drinks and infusions from hand-picked roots, herbs and flowers from the garden.
The nature pillar is where the programme differs from a standard hotel spa break. Guests can take a pottery course, which the hotel describes as tactile and meditative; join the hotel's gardener on a tour pointing out the fruits, aromatic herbs and flowers growing on the property; or take a flower arranging workshop with practical tips and floral design ideas to replicate at home. The hotel frames these as hands-on activities intended to settle a busy mind.
The fourth pillar is food. Chef Tièche cooks healthy Mediterranean dishes using fresh, seasonal local ingredients, many from the hotel's own vegetable garden. Guests can join him in the kitchen garden to select herbs and greens for a garden-to-table cooking class. There is also organic wine tasting — the Riviera gets around 300 days of sunshine a year and has vine-clad hills — and a mocktail mixology course using locally grown flowers, herbs and fruits.
There is no published hour-by-hour schedule. The programme is personalised, so the sequence and mix of activities is agreed with the Wellness Concierge rather than fixed for a group. That is the main difference from a typical retreat listing: you are not joining a cohort with a set timetable, you are assembling a week from a menu at a large hotel.
The setting does a lot of the work. The property sits in 17 acres of landscaped gardens facing the Mediterranean on the French Riviera, and the hiking, cycling and running all start from the peninsula itself. Chef Tièche is named as the chef behind the garden-to-table cooking, and the hotel's own gardener leads the garden tour.
