Marrakech · 6 days · From USD 1850
Day one is arrival in Marrakech. Check-in at the riad starts at 4pm, and the group meets for a short evening yoga session before a welcome dinner together. The riad is a restored 17th-century building in the medina, so the call to prayer is part of the morning soundtrack.
On day two, breakfast is followed by a guided tour — you can choose the souks or the museums and gardens of Marrakech. After lunch, the group leaves the city and drives to the Atlas Mountains, arriving at a kasbah in Toubkal National Park for the next four nights. That first evening includes dinner and a chance to settle in.
Days three through five are the core of the trip. Each morning starts with meditation and yoga in the kasbah's shala. Breakfast follows, then a guided hike of roughly two to four hours through traditional villages and mountain landscape. The hikes are moderate in difficulty. After the hike, lunch is on your own (the retreat includes breakfast and dinner only), and the afternoon is free. You can use the hammam at the kasbah, book a massage, or relax in the gardens. Some afternoons include a second yoga session.
What makes this different from a standard Morocco tour is the fixed base and the daily structure. You're not switching hotels every night — you spend four nights in the same kasbah and settle into a routine. The property is a National Geographic "Unique Lodges of the World" member, which means the accommodation itself is a destination. Jen and Nicole have run this retreat before and vetted the route themselves.
The last day, September 17, is departure. Early flights can be arranged, but the kasbah is about 90 minutes from Marrakech airport, so the ideal plan is to have breakfast and yoga before leaving. Airport transfers are organized based on flight details collected in early September.
