Muay Thai and BJJ Training Camp in Khao Yai, Thailand

Muay Thai and BJJ Training Camp in Khao Yai, Thailand

Thailand · 1 days · From THB 22000

Training runs twice a day, every day, across Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Muay Thai sessions are led by qualified instructors with professional fighting backgrounds, and the camp takes everyone from complete beginners to experienced fighters. BJJ is taught by head coach Robert Zamora, a black belt under Michael Chapman, who himself earned his black belt under Chris Haueter. Robert has trained jiu-jitsu for 16 years, founded and ran the MMA club at Eastern New Mexico University (Greyhound MMA), and is a NAGA Black Belt Champion.

What separates this camp from a standard gym stay is the setup. It is the only place in Khao Yai offering both Muay Thai and BJJ under one roof, and it is the first fully licensed Muay Thai school in the area. The training room, bedrooms, restaurant and co-working space are all on the same hillside property, so you walk from your room to the mats in under a minute. There is an organic farm on site and chickens roaming around, which gives the place a working-farm feel rather than a polished resort one.

Accommodation is straightforward and comfortable. Solo travellers get a private bedroom; couples or friends can take a shared room for two. Every stay includes breakfast and access to all Muay Thai and BJJ classes. If you are staying a month or longer, the nightly rate drops and the monthly packages work out considerably cheaper than paying night by night.

The camp is set in Nong Nam Daeng, in the Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima province. Khao Yai National Park is nearby, as are Bonanza Zoo, natural pools and a spread of cafes. The team can arrange airport transfers from Bangkok, rent you a bicycle or car, or call a local taxi if you want to spend an afternoon away from the hill. Laundry facilities are on site so you are not carrying a bag of training kit home.

Long stays are a real option here. Packages run from a single class pass up to three to six months, which suits remote workers and digital nomads who want to train around a work schedule. The co-working space and free WiFi make that practical rather than aspirational.
