Koh Samui · 7 days
A typical day here runs around two training blocks: morning and afternoon. Sessions usually start with a warm-up and stretching, then move into shadow-boxing, pad work with a trainer, and technical sparring. If you're on one of the fitness programmes, the conditioning work is heavier and the focus is on weight loss and body transformation rather than ring technique. Personal training sessions are booked in on the Monday of your stay and you'll get a schedule showing when they fall; outside a Premium package you just need a day's notice to book a session. You can also use the gym on your own between 8am and 8pm if you're paying for classes or a package.
Instructors at Lionheart are all champions of the sport with hundreds of fights between them, and they've trained thousands of students across Thailand. That's the main reason people come here rather than to a general fitness resort: the people holding the pads have competed at a high level. Training is open to men and women of all ages and fitness levels, and the camp states plainly that beginners and professionals both get something out of it. If you're aiming at a fight, this is a camp that supports that path and sponsors selected fighters.
The location is deliberately low-key. The gym sits in a peaceful, garden-filled part of the island, and Ban Tai beach is a 200 m walk down the road. It's not the busy Chaweng side, which means you can actually recover between sessions. On-site you've got the training facility, a healthy cafe, and a range of accommodation from budget to more comfortable rooms, so you can pick a package that matches your budget rather than being locked into one price point.
Practical bits worth knowing before you book: prices are subject to 7% government tax and a 3% transaction fee, airport transfers aren't included in the room price and must be arranged at least 48 hours ahead with your flight number, and transfers only run to and from Koh Samui airport. Prepaid bookings are charged 50% at confirmation. Most nationalities get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival, but you should confirm with a Thai embassy in your home country. Full travel and health insurance is strongly advised because physical exercise carries injury risk.
You can book for 1, 2, or 4 weeks through the standard options, but the camp will quote custom lengths by email if you want 3 weeks or longer — so a two-month stay is possible if that's what you're after. Packages come in Premium, Standard, and Training Only tiers, which lets you decide how much of your stay is organised versus self-directed. The whole setup is aimed at people who want to train seriously in a place that also happens to be a tropical island with a good beach at the end of the road.
