Muay Thai & Fitness Bootcamp Retreat in Rural Thailand

Muay Thai & Fitness Bootcamp Retreat in Rural Thailand

Thailand · 7 days · From USD 434

Muay Thai Battle Conquer is set on a farm in Phetchabun, a province in central Thailand that sees very few tourists. The camp is run by the Keawma family, who have decades of experience in Muay Thai — the gym's name comes from the Thai saying 'Phichit Suk', meaning 'battle conquer'. Guests stay in private rooms in one of three areas: the farm lodges next to the family home, the resort rooms near the pool, or a local hotel in town.

Training runs twice a day from Monday to Saturday, with an afternoon class on Sunday. A typical session includes shadow boxing, bag work, and one-on-one pad work, mixed with HIIT-style circuits in three-minute rounds. Once a week there's a technique class covering grappling and sparring. Western boxing is also taught, and the trainers cross-train fighters in both styles. The camp accepts everyone from complete beginners to people who want to compete — if you're interested in fighting, they'll prepare you and find you an opponent at a local carnival fight.

Outside the ring, the package includes plenty of active recovery. There are two countryside walks through the farmland, a jungle trail to a waterfall where you can swim, and a Sunday gym day out to meet the only English-speaking monk in the province. The optional Raw Fest runs for five days, where you eat only fresh fruits, vegetables, and salads from the market. The camp also has a yoga shala and a cafe, though yoga classes and massage are extra.

What makes this retreat different is the location and the family. It's in an unspoilt part of Thailand, the camp is genuinely family-run, and guests often end up staying longer than planned because they feel at home. The food is traditional country Thai cooking — curries, omelets, rice, and noodles — which you might not find in tourist areas.
