Muay Thai Training Camp in Pattaya, Thailand

Muay Thai Training Camp in Pattaya, Thailand

Thailand · 7 days

Fairtex is a name that carries weight in the Muay Thai world. The Pattaya facility is their flagship training camp, where Thai and international fighters have trained for decades. The gym floor is busy with pad holders calling out combinations in Thai, the slap of leather on pads, and the rhythmic thump of heavy bags.

Training splits into two main formats: group classes and private sessions. Group classes run for about an hour and include five rounds of pad work with a trainer, bag work, and often clinch sparring or light sparring with other students. Privates are one-on-one hour-long sessions where a trainer focuses entirely on your technique—these can include sparring with the trainer if you're ready for it.

The morning session runs 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM and covers Muay Thai fundamentals: footwork, stance, punches, kicks, elbows, and knees. You'll drill these on pads with a trainer calling the shots, then move into clinch work—the close-range grappling that sets Muay Thai apart from other striking arts. The afternoon session (2:30 PM to 5:00 PM) shifts toward conditioning—skipping rope, core work, heavy bag rounds—plus more advanced technique for those who've been at it a while.

The location matters here. Pattaya is a beach city with cheap food, easy transport, and plenty to do on rest days. The camp can arrange airport pickups and point you toward day trips if you want to see more of Thailand on weekends. Staff speak English and are used to hosting international trainees who stay for anywhere from a week to several months.
