Home › Retreats › Muay Thai Training Retreats with Pro Fighter Sean "Muay Thai Guy" Fagan — Costa Rica, Thailand, Morocco & New York
Costa Rica · 7 days · From EUR 1695
There are four trips on the calendar and they're genuinely different from each other, so the first decision is which one fits your schedule and budget. The New Paltz weekend is 2 nights from
,995 and takes 1–2 people. You fly into NYC, drive 90 minutes upstate, and train with Sean at his home gym — two private lessons with him, one group session at Gambit Fighting, and you're back to real life by Sunday night. Accommodation is a private studio on Sean's own property, and everything on the ground is sorted: hikes at River to Ridge and Mohonk, brunch, dinners and drinks at local spots, all ground transport included. It's the option for people who want real coaching without burning a week of leave.Costa Rica runs 7 nights from $2,195 at Jungle's Edge Resort in Nosara, for groups of 15–30, in January 2027. Two Muay Thai sessions daily with pros, daily morning yoga with a pro instructor, open BJJ, surf lessons, and a saltwater infinity pool that the page says is ranked one of the ten coolest in the world. Three meals a day plus a post-workout tropical smoothie, and the week includes either a surf lesson or a full body massage, plus waterfall hikes, beach bonfires, sunset watch parties and group excursions. Accommodation is eco-friendly and sits at the edge of the jungle.
Thailand is the flagship: 11 nights at FitKoh in Ban Tai from
,695, April 2027, groups of 15–30. Ten training days, two live stadium fight nights in real Thai venues, combat strength work and kettlebell sessions on the beach, ice baths, breathwork, yoga and mobility, a sunset boat trip, a waterfall hike, and Songkran — the Thai New Year water festival — spent on Chaweng Beach Road with your team. This is the one people talk about for years afterwards, and it's the cheapest of the longer trips.Morocco is the newest addition, 7 nights from a price still to be confirmed, dates TBD in 2027, groups of 10–15. A boutique stone hotel on the Moroccan Atlantic, with Muay Thai and surf in the morning and yoga at sunset. Seven training days, morning surf in the Atlantic swell, oceanside partner drills and light sparring, guided excursions, and time in the souks and medinas between sessions, with tagine dinners as the evening default. If you want the surf-and-fight combination with a smaller group, this is the one.
Across all four, the format is the same: roughly 90-minute sessions, one or two a day, with the rest of the time built around whatever makes the destination worth the flight. Sean's background is a boxing career that turned into a decade-plus in Muay Thai — more than 30 pro and amateur fights, a Lion Fight appearance, national Thai TV, two amateur championships (one won with a broken arm) and an MSG title. He retired from competing and went full-time into coaching, and his Muay Thai Guy YouTube channel has reached millions of fighters and hobbyists. These trips are how he brings that instruction into a room of real students for a week at a time.
