Home › Retreats › Muay Thai, Yoga & Thai Massage Jungle Wellness Retreat in Southern Thailand
Thailand · 8 days · From USD 266
The retreat is built around three pillars: Muay Thai, yoga, and Thai massage. You'll train Muay Thai on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at a local gym in the village, about a 15-minute walk from Eco-Logic. Kroo Noi, the local trainer, leads the sessions and provides all the equipment, so you don't need to bring anything but yourself. The training is suitable for complete beginners—many guests have never tried martial arts before—but it's also a good way to deepen your practice if you have experience.
Yoga happens on most days, either in the morning or late afternoon, whichever suits you best. The classes are taught by a rotating group of certified Thai yoga teachers, so you'll experience different styles and approaches throughout the week. The yoga shala overlooks the jungle, and the sounds of the forest provide the soundtrack to your practice.
Between training sessions, there's time to explore. The itinerary includes a tour of the Eco-Logic premises and the Thai Child Development Foundation, where you'll see the special school and occupational training center. On Saturday, you can volunteer alongside the local kids—helping with sports, yoga, or creative activities. There's also a Som Tam (papaya salad) making workshop, a Thai language session, a hike to a waterfall with a picnic lunch, and a visit to the herbal steam room.
Accommodation is in Eco-Logic's riverside guestrooms or a shared dormitory, both set in the jungle. The atmosphere is relaxed and community-focused, with a mix of retreat guests and regular visitors who come for the yoga, the nature, or to volunteer. The foundation's work is central to the place, and many guests find that getting to know the children and the projects is a highlight of their stay.
Eco-Logic is located in Phato District, Chumphon Province, a rural area about 25 kilometers from Ranong. The nearest airport is Ranong (UNN). The retreat operates year-round, and you can book for one week or longer. The program is designed to start on a Sunday so you follow the correct sequence of Muay Thai sessions, which happen on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
