Nakatumble Detox Add-On: Juices, Massage and Morning Shots in Vanuatu

Nakatumble sits in what the operator describes as tranquil natural beauty, and the detox package is designed to slot into a stay there rather than replace it. You pick your room first, then add the cleanse at checkout. The daily detox rate is 8,000 VATU, and you choose how many days to run it — one, two, three or more. The operator recommends two nights and three days.

A detox day has a fixed shape. It starts with a Morning Ritual Metabolism Boost: a ginger and turmeric shot the operator says supports digestion, reduces inflammation and helps nutrient absorption. Juices follow through the day, made fresh from local ingredients. Then there is a one-hour massage with a therapist, aimed at releasing tension and restoring energy. Walks bookend the day — an early evening walk on day one, a morning walk and a sunset walk on day two, and a morning walk on day three.

The three-day sample cleanse is the clearest picture of how it works. Day one eases you in with two evening juices, a peaceful early evening walk and a massage. Day two steps up to six juices spread across the day, plus a one-hour massage, a morning walk and a sunset walk. Day three is a morning walk, six juices and a final massage, with late checkout at 4pm. If you need to leave before then, they prepare your remaining juices to take with you.

What separates this from a standard juice cleanse is the massage. One hour of hands-on therapy every day of the cleanse is unusual, and it is included in the daily rate rather than sold as an extra. The juice menu is also built around what grows locally — pineapple, pawpaw, rocket, lime, green apple, parsley, ginger and turmeric all appear by name.

Children under 18 cannot take part in the cleanse. They can still stay with you, and the operator will put together a separate meal plan for them at an additional cost. The daily detox price does not include your room rate — that is booked separately.
