Home › Retreats › Olive Harvest & Yoga Week on a Tuscan Farm, Above Florence
Florence · 7 days · From EUR 1200
Mornings begin with yoga and breathwork as the light comes through the olive trees. The classes are suitable for all levels, and the practice is held on the farm itself rather than in a studio. Breakfast follows, then the day opens up.
During harvest season, guests join the picking in the groves with the Mancini family — this is the part that makes the week different from a standard yoga holiday. You'll see how the fruit is gathered and then watch it pressed into oil, and you'll taste that oil at dinner the same evening. It's the full arc of the process, not a demonstration put on for visitors.
Lunch and dinner are homemade and organic, sourced from the farm and eaten together. The cooking is straightforward Tuscan and Italian: seasonal vegetables, pasta, dishes finished with the estate's freshly pressed extra-virgin olive oil. Several evenings include live music in the open air.
The retreat is small by design, which leaves plenty of room to do your own thing. Guests often spend an afternoon walking through the olive groves or exploring Fiesole, an old hill town with Roman ruins and views down over Florence. Others take the bus or drive into Florence for the Uffizi, the Duomo, or the shops. In-house massage is available to book on site if you'd rather stay put.
The accommodation is a countryside home among the trees — rustic farmhouse character with modern comfort — hosted alongside the Mancini family estate. It's quiet, and the setting is the point: you're on the farm, not at a resort near it.
This one suits travellers who want their yoga week tied to an actual place and an actual season. If you're looking for a beach-and-beat schedule or a resort with a pool and a bar, this isn't it. If you want to pick olives in the morning, eat what the farm grew for dinner, and practice yoga under the same trees you just harvested from, it's hard to find something more specific than this.
