Home › Retreats › Peru Surf & Yoga Eco Camp — 6-Night Boutique Surf House in Máncora
Peru · 7 days · From EUR 265
The camp runs on the North Shore of Peru in Máncora, a small beach town in the Piura region that's become known for two things: warm water year-round and a long, peeling left point break that works on almost any swell. The surf house is set back from the main road in a green, garden-filled spot about five minutes' walk — barefoot, according to the camp — from the main surf point and from the row of restaurants and cafés along the beach road.
There are three package structures, all running seven days and six nights. The "surf b&b" beginner package (from US$379) includes five surf lessons with local instructors, plus wetsuit and board hire for the lesson sessions. Lessons run 1 hour 15 minutes each with a private instructor. The "freesurfing" intermediate package (from US$350) drops the lessons and instead gives you five days of surfboard rental, so you can go wherever the swell is working. The "surf & yoga" package (from US$285) is the same base stay but with four yoga classes included instead of instruction or board rental — it's the all-levels option and works well if you're travelling with someone who surfs less than you do.
The camp also organises day trips to other spots along the North Shore when the conditions at Máncora point aren't ideal, or when you just want a change of scenery. The coastline here is long, wild and mostly empty, with a mix of reef and beach breaks that the local crew know well. Those trips are arranged on-site rather than built into the package.
Beyond surfing, the camp keeps things deliberately simple. Breakfast is served each morning — a healthy, freshly prepared spread made by the local kitchen staff. There's locally made kombucha, freshly baked cookies and specialty espresso available through the day, and cold beer at sunset before people head into town. Yoga classes run in the camp's own studio or at spots around Máncora. On the add-on side you can book therapeutic massage, alternative medicine treatments from local therapists, kitesurfing, diving and — in season — whale watching.
The whole setup is digital-nomad friendly. Fibre wifi runs throughout, so you can work mornings and surf afternoons if that's your arrangement. The vibe is community-oriented but unstructured: solo travellers, couples and small groups of friends all mix in, and nobody is asked to sign up for a group activity they didn't choose. It's a relaxed, low-impact, environmentally-minded operation — small footprint, local staff, minimal waste — rather than a polished resort.
