Physio-Led Pilates & Wellness Escape on the Beaches of Mauritius

Physio-Led Pilates & Wellness Escape on the Beaches of Mauritius

Europe · 6 days · From EUR 4826

The retreat runs Friday to Wednesday. Day one is arrival and settling in: airport transfer, check-in, lunch at Coco's Beach House, a welcome drinks reception, then a 5pm CORE Unwind Pilates session and sunset on the beach before an international dinner at TSK. The pace picks up from there. Saturday starts with a 6:30am CORE Reset session on a remote islet at sunrise — you get there by boat — followed by breakfast, vinyasa yoga and meditation at 11am, CORE Flow at 5pm, and Japanese dinner at Kushi.

Sunday is the quieter day: CORE Burn at 8am, free time, then a restorative yoga and sound workshop at 3pm. Monday splits the group — a 5:30am sunrise hike or 8am yoga on the beach, CORE Strength at 11am, CORE Restore at 5:30pm, and dinner outdoors at Four Au Chaux. Tuesday's Pilates is CORE Energise at 7:30am, then a dolphin catamaran cruise with a BBQ lunch served on board, back to the hotel for the afternoon, and a special dinner on the beach that evening.

Wednesday is departure day, with a final 6:30am CORE Empower session before breakfast and check-out. The week is organised so there's real downtime between sessions — afternoons are largely free, and the itinerary is explicitly flexible for weather and restaurant hours.

What separates this from a standard Pilates holiday is who's teaching. Claire trained and worked at a leading Pilates institution and has spent 15 years as a physiotherapist. That means the classes take injuries, pelvic health and post-natal recovery seriously rather than treating them as an afterthought — she's an ambassador for ante and post-natal pelvic health and works with pregnant and post-partum clients. One-to-one physiotherapy, Pilates and strength and conditioning sessions, plus sports massage, are available to book on top of the programme.

It's also the first Core LDN international retreat. The venue is the Shangri-La Le Touessrok, a reworked Mauritian icon on the east coast with five private white-sand beaches, its own island (Ilot Mangénie), a spa, sauna, pool, library and yoga deck. The resort runs the food and lodging; Core LDN runs the programme.

Group size matters here: the retreat needs a minimum of 10 paying guests to proceed, with confirmation due by 23 February 2027, and you're advised not to book non-refundable flights until then. Rooms are the Hibiscus Ocean View category, either single or double occupancy, all with private balconies looking over Hibiscus Beach.
