Plant-Based Women's Health Retreat in Bali with Naturopath Camilla Brinkworth

Indonesia · 7 days

A typical day starts early with Kundalini yoga and meditation, followed by a plant-based breakfast. Late mornings are for workshops: Camilla covers practical topics like eating for hormone balance, gut health, managing PMDD and PMS symptoms, and how stress affects the cycle. Afternoons are kept partly free so you can rest, swim, walk through the rice fields or just sleep, which is a deliberate part of the programme for people who arrive exhausted.

Evenings and some afternoons are given over to the emotional work. Family Constellations is a group method where participants stand in for members of someone's family to look at inherited patterns and unresolved family issues. Camilla runs these sessions in a group setting, and combines them with trauma-informed practices, breathwork and gentle movement aimed at calming the nervous system. Everything is adapted to your comfort level, and you can sit out or observe any session.

The main difference from a typical Bali yoga retreat is the person running it. Camilla has close to 15 years of clinical experience and qualifications in naturopathy and nutrition, so the workshops are based on that background rather than general wellness talk. She has dealt with PMDD, autoimmune arthritis and emotional trauma herself, which shapes the focus on hormones and the emotional side of chronic symptoms.

The food is 100% plant-based, using local organic produce, and built around anti-inflammatory eating. If you are already vegan or vegetarian, it fits straight in. If you are curious about switching, the week works as a practical trial with someone who can explain the nutrition behind it.

The retreats are based in Bali, where Camilla lives in Ubud. The name Ubud comes from the Balinese word 'ubad', meaning medicine, and the area has long drawn healers and visitors looking for help with their health. Expect green surroundings, rice terraces and a quiet setting away from the busier beach towns.

Airport transfers are included, along with local outings. Spaces are limited so Camilla can give each guest personal attention, and the first retreats are expected to open for registration through the early interest list.
