Home › Retreats › Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Certification in the Costa Rican Jungle
Costa Rica · 5 days · From USD 690
The training is a balanced mix of theory and practical curriculum, providing you with the knowledge and tools to teach yoga to pregnant women. Each day begins with a morning meditation and practice, followed by a lecture after breakfast. There is a break for lunch, another lecture in the afternoon, and a yoga practice in the late afternoon. The topics covered include what pregnancy yoga is and its benefits, how to prepare class materials, prenatal yoga asanas for different issues, the pregnancy trimesters, meditation and Yoga Nidra for pregnancy, and yoga for labor. At the end of the course, there is a final assignment.
What sets this training apart is the one-on-one format. With a maximum of two participants, you receive personalized feedback and can move at your own pace. The instructor, Daniela, is a seasoned yoga teacher who has been practicing since 2000 and teaching since 2016. She combines a focus on alignment and strength with a feeling of surrender and ease. Her approach is known for being caring, kind, and accommodating, and she has received praise from students for her competence and spiritual guidance.
The location is another highlight. You'll be in Cocles, near Puerto Viejo, a stunning area of Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. The property has two thoughtfully designed homes where comfort meets nature. You can wake up to the sound of howler monkeys, walk to the beach in minutes, and fall asleep to a chorus of jungle sounds. The area is safe and tranquil, perfect for reflection and study. While the course is intense, the environment allows you to truly unplug and recharge.
