Camp Vortex Retreats runs private, personalized healing retreats at Mystic Sky Ranch, a five-acre property in the high desert near Joshua Tree. The ranch has five bedrooms, a yoga dome, sauna, hot tub, and a cowboy tub, with views of the Mojave in every direction. Nights are dark enough to see the Milky Way from the fire pit. Every retreat is led personally by Ramsay Mead, who has spent thirty years working with the body through Qigong, Tai Chi, Chinese boxing, fascia-based movement, yoga therapy, and advanced bodywork.

The two-day program is built around what Ramsay calls the Embodied Longevity Method—a blend of somatic bodywork, breathwork, and energy healing that targets the fascia, the nervous system, and the places where the body stores old tension. The signature treatment is a two-hour 'Qi Circulation Skin Glow' session, a full-body fascia and lymphatic massage designed to release stuck emotional energy and improve circulation. You'll also do red light therapy, soak in a mineral-rich jacuzzi, and join a guided fire ceremony at sunset on the second day.

The retreat is deliberately small. Only one guest or couple books at a time, so the experience is fully private. That means the schedule can flex around you—if you're exhausted, you can sleep in; if you're struggling with something specific, Ramsay will adjust the sessions to address it. Meals are prepared fresh on site, catering to vegan, vegetarian, or keto preferences, and there's always tea, coffee, and snacks available.
