Home › Retreats › Private Wellness Escape: 200-Hour Hatha & Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand
Thailand · 14 days · From USD 3500
This is not a typical group teacher training. The one-to-one format means every session is tailored to your level and pace, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner ready to teach. Mica, your instructor, has spent years studying in India and leading trainings worldwide, and he brings that depth of knowledge to each session. His teaching style is direct and grounded, focused on helping you understand the why behind each practice rather than just the how.
The curriculum is unusually comprehensive for a 200-hour course. It goes beyond the physical postures into yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, and the subtle energy systems, drawing on a 215-page manual written by an Ayurvedic doctor with a PhD in Pranayama Yoga. You'll study Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, explore the chakras and nadis, and learn about the ethics and responsibilities of being a yoga teacher. The teaching methodology sessions are practical, covering sequencing, adjustments, and how to build a class that serves different intentions.
The location, ThaiLife Wellness and Meditation Resort, is set in the coastal countryside of Takua Pa District, about 1.5 hours north of Phuket International Airport. It's deliberately away from the tourist hubs like Koh Phangan, offering a more authentic slice of Thai life. The resort itself blends traditional Thai architecture with open natural spaces, and there's a pool, restaurant, and spa on site. You can use the free bicycles to explore the local area, including the uncrowded Bang Muang Beach.
Throughout the two weeks, you'll have plenty of one-on-one time with Mica, not just in scheduled sessions but also informally – over meals, during breaks, or while exploring the grounds. This creates an environment where questions are welcomed and learning feels continuous. The small group size (typically just you and the instructor) means you'll leave with not only a Yoga Alliance certification but also a clear sense of your own practice and direction as a teacher.
