The Signature retreat is the core of what The Dreaming does. It runs Friday to Monday, with a loose structure: morning practice, a shared meal, then time on the land or in the barn. The days are not packed. You might start with a slow yoga session or a walk to the river, then have breakfast and a choice of a craft workshop, a sound bath or nothing at all. Evenings often involve a fire and a shared meal.
What makes this different from a standard wellness weekend is the land itself. The centre is on a working smallholding in the Welsh hills, and much of what you eat comes from the garden. The programme changes with the season: in October you might be foraging and preserving, in November you might be inside by the fire. The retreats are led by Charlotte Church and a small team of facilitators, with guest practitioners for the themed weeks.
The Samhain retreat (28 October–1 November 2026) marks the start of the darker half of the year with ceremony, reflection and Celtic tradition. Song of the Soul (20–25 October 2026) is a five-day retreat led by Charlotte Church using sound, story and self-expression to explore the voice. WITCH (9–13 November 2026) is a five-day retreat with Charlotte Church and Tree Carr for 16 people, with ritual, nature and witchcraft practice timed to the waning gibbous moon.
The centre has a pay-what-you-can scheme, with some guests paying as little as £1 per night, and it has run free retreats for NHS workers and activists. That ethos carries into the paid retreats: there is no pressure to perform or to have a particular level of fitness. The focus is on rest, connection and the land.
Accommodation is in shared and private rooms at the centre. The exact room types and prices are not listed on the page, so you will need to ask when booking. The centre is pausing its work at Rhydoldog from December 2026, so these are the last dates.
