Self-Catering Forest Gîtes with Sauna and Massage in Northern Alsace

Days here tend to follow the same shape. Coffee, then a walk straight from the door into the Vosges forest — the Petit Ballon is the local hike — or a drive to one of the Wine Route villages. Afternoons are for the sauna, a booked massage, or the swimming pool in Munster. Evenings are for the fireplace and cooking at home, or a farmhouse inn nearby.

Location-wise you are well placed for both the outdoors and the towns. Colmar is about 15 minutes away, Mulhouse about 30, Strasbourg and Basel about an hour each, and EuroAirport about 50 minutes. Skiing is 20 km away. Castles at Hohlandsbourg and Haut-Kœnigsbourg, the Écomusée d'Alsace and the Cité de l'Automobile are all within day-trip range, as are Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr.
