Somatic Healing and Breathwork Reset in Hyderabad's Deer Park

India · 4 days · From EUR 388

The retreat is built around a daily rhythm. Check-in is from 1:00 PM on day one, and the first somatic de-armoring session starts at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner. Most days run from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, split into morning energy work, midday trauma-release workshops and deep afternoon breathwork. The morning movement and breathwork sessions are optional — you can rest instead if you need integration time. Day 3 includes the SOMA Induction, where a Tibetan herbal concoction is served to support deep emotional release and somatic healing. On departure day, the final integration masterclass ends at 11:30 AM and check-out is at 2:00 PM.

What separates this from a standard yoga week is the method. SOMA breathwork combines paced breathing with brainwave-entraining music and visualisation, aiming to shift brainwave activity into theta states. The retreat also draws on the Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyu lineage of Tibetan Yoga, Patanjali Ashtanga and Lahiri Mahasaya Kriya Yoga. Sessions are held in a resort setting with a yoga shala and deck, and the programme is capped at 16 participants, so groups stay small.

The lead facilitator is Yogi Kiran, founder of Soul Quest Yogic Cultural Center and Tibetan Flow Cultural Center. He holds an MS, MBA, BS, DHRM, DIPsy, EEE, FFI, CCI and ISP, and has trained in the Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyu lineage of Tibetan Yoga, Patanjali Ashtanga and Lahiri Mahasaya Kriya Yoga. He is currently writing two books, "Live & Die in Misery" and "Holy Nonsense: Debunking Spiritual Myths." He is joined by Mrs. Rajya, a certified Aacharyā in Patanjali Yogic practices with over 30 years of experience, who has run yoga wellness classes in Hyderabad for the past 20 years.

The venue is Mrugavani Resort in Hyderabad, Telangana. It sits 4 minutes' walk from Mrugavani National Park and 12 km from Golkonda, the former capital of a medieval kingdom. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, upgraded rooms and suites have furnished terraces, and the property also has wood tree huts, fabric tents and cottages with a separate pool area. Wi-Fi and 24-hour room service are available. On site there is a restaurant, a cafe, thatched outdoor dining areas, an outdoor pool, a poolside eatery and a spa. Breakfast, parking and safari tours are available. Full venue details are shared with participants after confirmed registration and booking.

The retreat runs as a substance-free environment — no alcohol or drugs — and participants are encouraged to minimise phone use during session hours. Every activity is guided with consent and safety protocols. The programme is open to all experience levels; no prior background in advanced pranayama, Tantra or somatic practices is required, and practices are introduced progressively. The recommended age range is 18 to 60, and the group is capped at 16.
