Home › Retreats › Spring Yoga & Pilates Week with Spa in Sardinia
Sardinia · 8 days · From EUR 1760
The week follows a rhythm rather than a rigid timetable. Each morning begins with a dynamic yoga or Pilates class — the aim is to get the body moving and set the tone for the day. Breakfast follows, then a long free block where you can read by the pool, walk the valley, or do nothing at all. Around midday the group comes back together for something different each day: a nature walk, a ceremony, journaling, dancing, or another playful way of exploring the surroundings. Lunch is a proper Italian pranzo, and the afternoon is yours — swim, book a massage, nap, or sit over a long coffee. As the day winds down there is a second, slower practice on the mats: restorative yoga, yin, or gentle Pilates. Dinner is freshly cooked and often eaten while the sun goes down.
What separates this from a general yoga holiday is the mix of practices. You are not doing the same class twice a day for a week. The schedule alternates between activating sessions that leave you feeling strong and slower ones that are closer to deep rest, so the body gets both. The teachers are also not yoga-only: Kamal, who founded Soul Valley with his wife Cheraldin, is trained in self-knowledge, shamanic work, coaching and meditation, and spent twenty years in healthcare and startups before moving the family from Amsterdam to Sardinia. Nitya has worked as a therapist since 2010, running retreats in India, Brazil, the US and Europe, and offers bodywork, conscious touch and breathwork. Cheraldin is trained in sound healing, voice liberation and breathwork, and ran a catering company in Amsterdam for ten years before the move.
The property is 50 hectares of hills and nature. The boutique rooms are spread across the main building, a renovated farm and former horse stables, and three cottages. There are two yoga halls — one of 100 square metres and one of 170 — so the group is never squeezed into a corner of a restaurant. The spa has a Turkish bath and both Finnish and infrared saunas, and there is a therapy room for massages. Outside there is a large sea-view pool with lounge beds and deck chairs, a vegetarian restaurant with sea-view verandas, an alcohol-free bar, free parking, walking trails and uphill meditation spots.
Soul Valley is near the village of Torre delle Stelle in the south of Sardinia, about a 45-minute drive from Cagliari International Airport. The sea and white sandy beaches are a few kilometres away. Sardinia is one of the world's Blue Zones, and the area has a lot of archaeological sites. On arrival day, Saturday, check-in runs from 15:00 to 21:00; check-out is Saturday morning before 10:00. The team organises combined vans between Cagliari airport and the venue on arrival and departure days — this costs €40 one-way and is not included in the price. Renting a car gives you the most flexibility during the week.
The retreat runs with a fixed group and a theme, and the programme suits both beginners and more advanced practitioners. There is enough slack in the schedule to use the pool, the spa and the grounds properly rather than only between classes. More than half of guests are solo travellers; the rest come as couples or friends.
