Home › Retreats › Surf Camp Morocco: 7-Day Surf Coaching in a Quiet Atlantic Village
Morocco · 7 days · From PLN 770
The camp runs for 7 days and roughly 8 nights. The daily rhythm is: breakfast and coffee with an ocean view, a 2-hour coached session in the water with your group, lunch and mint tea, a rest period by the pool, a sunset free-surf where the team shoots photos of you, stretching and breathing exercises, dinner together, then either video analysis or a lecture. There are 6 coached water sessions, 6+ free-surf sessions, 2 video analysis sessions, 1 technical/motor session in the pool (paddling and board manoeuvring), 2 lectures (right of way, swell forecasting), and surfskate sessions at the local skate park. Daily stretching is built in.
The free-surf element is unusually generous for a camp at this price: high-quality equipment is available to you for the entire trip, with Rip Curl wetsuits and SoftTech boards as standard, and hardtop boards available for a small supplement. You can paddle out as often as you like with the rest of the group between coached sessions.
The coaching comes from a permanent team rather than whoever happens to be available. The Polish side includes Karaś (founder of the club and lead instructor) plus Maciek and Sandra, both on the Polish Longboard national squad for 2026. The Moroccan side are local surf guides who've surfed these spots since childhood. That combination is the point: you get local knowledge about which spot is working on which day, plus technical explanations in Polish, which is how the club is able to keep the instructor-to-participant ratio at 1:4 in the water and a maximum of 8 participants per 2 instructors.
Video analysis is treated as a core part of the programme rather than a nice extra. All footage is catalogued for you, and it's shot on a Sony Alpha III with a 600mm lens — so you leave with a decent set of photos and clips of your own waves, not a blurry phone video. Reviews of your footage are used to set the next targets for your technique work.
The programme also includes a 9-week pre-camp training plan. When you sign up you get app access plus online consultations with the club's trainer — 184 exercises across 4 progress phases, with video and pro tips for each, covering pop-up, paddle, cardio and mobility, plus a reporting system. The idea is that you arrive already able to paddle and pop up, so the coached week is spent on actual surfing rather than basic fitness.
Beyond surfing, there's a 4x4 excursion to a flamingo-lined beach and large sand dunes where you can try sandboarding, and an optional trip into Tiznit's old town to the artisan souk for spices, crafts and souvenirs. Neither the Tiznit transport nor flights are included; the organisers advise on flight options and most participants end up on the same one.
